Annual Prize-Giving Ceremony of Our School  The prize-giving ceremony of our school was held on 2nd April in the school compound. We decorated the school building very tastefully. The function began just at 10 am with recitation from the Holy Quran. The principal of P.N. College was in the chair. The Headmaster read out his report. Then the main ceremony began. ⇾  My First Day At School ⇾  A Book Shop ⇾  Dictionary The Headmaster called each recipient by name and the president gave away the prizes and shook him by the hands. I got two prizes. When the formal meeting came to the end, we staged a short drama to entertain the guests which was highly appreciated by the audience. This being over, the Headmaster thanked the president for the trouble he took in coming to the function. A concluding song suited to the occasion was sung by student of class 8. 

Using A Dictionary If you want to improve your English, you must learn to use a dictionary. A dictionary helps you with the meanings of words. It also shows you the correct spelling and pronunciation of a word. To get help from a dictionary you must learn to use first. Here are some instructions that you can follow. Read the introductory section of a dictionary. Usually, all the instructions are given in this section. If you go through the section, it will be easy for you to use the dictionary.  Every dictionary uses some set of abbreviations. You must learn the carefully. Without them, it will be very difficult for you to use the dictionary. You must have a good idea about the symbols of pronunciation. Without learning them, you will not be able to pronounce a word correctly. Every dictionary follows alphabetical order, For example, the word 'dictionary' begins with 'd'. I am sorry for not replying to earlier because I was busy with my studies. You have wanted to know about my preparation for the coming Annual Examination. You will be glad to know that I have taken quite a good preparation for it. Mathematics seems very interesting to me. I hope I would be able to cut a good figure in Math. I have also read thoroughly almost all the topics of other subjects. I have although been well off in language. I think I will do well in English and Bangla. I am well.
